It is a nurturing class ideal for individuals that have limiting physical/health conditions or are healing from an injury or illness, but is great for for any individual seeking to reduce the effects of stress. Restorative yoga is a gentle, relaxing and passive form of yoga that allows students to relax and release the body into a gentle and extended opening. Soft and gentle postures will assist individuals to quiet the nervous system and achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. You will be guided through supported and gentle poses using bolsters and blankets.
Open and Release: Yin Inspired Yoga
A quiet, slow and meditative practice which allows individuals to tune into the sensations within the body and reduce the chatter in the mind. The poses are held for longer periods which allows for a deeper stretch and lengthening of tight connective tissue while focusing on breath awareness.
Gently Restore and Renew Yoga
Gently Restore and Renew Yoga offers a variation of postures that accommodates the students abilities, no matter if you are a beginner or have practiced yoga for many years. Postures promote stretching and strengthening while increasing the range of motion and gentle movement of joints. These gentler postures allow for mild-moderate strengthening and stretch of muscles and tissues, but also allows for a release of tension in the mind-body. We end the class with a relaxing restorative yoga posture.
