A deeply relaxing practice of supported poses, guided relaxation, yogic breathing and an extended savasana (final resting pose). This meditative practice cultivates a necessary balance between body and mind while dissolving physical and mental tension. For students of any level seeking to reduce the effects of stress, Restorative yoga is a gentle, relaxing and passive form of yoga that allows students to relax and release the body into a gentle and extended opening. Soft and gentle postures will assist individuals to quiet the nervous system and achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation. Guided meditation, breathing techniques, aromatherapy and healing music will be integrated into the class to take you into a state of deep relaxation. You will be guided through supported and gentle poses using bolsters and blankets. This practice is an exceptional and deeply moving experience.
